Accessible when and where you need them, MCHB's webcast training resources focus on key concerns to state MCH and CSHCN directors and the broader MCH community.

 


The Distance Learning Inventory web site, sponsored by the Training Branch of the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB), contains information about distance education materials developed by MCHB-supported training projects. This searchable web site is targeted to practicing public health professionals, teachers and students of public health.


A series of four Technical Assistance workshops to assist the State Title V Programs with their Five Year Needs Assessments.


A series of four self-study modules designed to help health and early childhood professionals working in community settings (for example, Head Start and WIC staff) promote oral health for infants and young children.


A series of seven self-contained online modules designed to assist health professionals in managing the oral health of infants and young children.


Archive of an interactive workshop emphasizing the leadership role individuals can play in mobilizing community resources to plan targeted initiatives, and empowering communities to engage in meaningful health planning efforts.

This site provides access to audio/video and presentation materials of the orientation to the MCH Bureau for new MCH Leaders provided in October 2002. This is a great place for new staff to become acquainted with the Bureau.


Online modules provided by CADE on the following topics: An Overview of Online Learning; Current MCH and MCHB Online Activities; Conferencing and Collaboration Tools; Data Gathering, Analysis and Reporting; and Tools for Online Presentation and Webcasting.


This 144k PDF document provides results from a survey of distance learning interests and technology requirements. The survey was conducted online in January-February 2005.
