Technical Requirements
 

The registration process will automatically check your computer to make sure it is capable of running the live webcasts. You can connect directly to the technical check here. As outlined below, you may need to download and install software if your computer does not currently have it.

You will need to download and install the free basic version of RealPlayer 10 on the computer you will be using to connect to the meetings. (You do not need to purchase anything -- look for the link to the FREE Player). [ Tell me more ]

You must have JavaScript enabled on your internet browser, and you must have Java enabled. [ Tell me more ]

You must have a monitor resolution of at least 800 x 600 to see the entire interface. [ Tell me more ]

You should use Internet Explorer 4.0 or above or Netscape Navigator 4.0 or above as your internet browser. You must use Internet Explorer as your browser to view captioning. [ Tell me more ]

The computer you are using to view the webcast should have at least 64 MB RAM. If you have less you may experience a slowing down of performance. [ Tell me more ]

You need a stable internet connection of 56kbps or higher. [ Tell me more ]

Connect to the live webcast 20 minutes before the scheduled start time to allow your computer to connect and download the presentation slides in advance of the live webcast. [ Tell me more ]

If the computer you are using is behind a firewall, you may need to ask your network administrator to open certain network "ports" in order to receive the audio-video. [ Tell me more ]

You must turn off any pop-up blocker software or settings -- these may prevent the interface screen or poll questions from appearing. [ Tell me more ]

If you are using a MacIntosh computer, you should use OS 10.2 or later with Safari or Internet Explorer. [ Tell me more ]
