Technical Help : Computer Processor and Memory

For best performance, please close all other applications while running live and archived presentations.

Your computer should have at least 64MB of RAM and a processor of at least 250MHz in order to run the webcast smoothly. Details on how to check your computer's memory and processor speed are listed below:

Windows Users

  • Click on the Windows Start button at the bottom left of your screen
  • Select Control Panel
  • Double click on System
  • Your processor speed and RAM memory are listed at the bottom of the General tab

    Upgrading these hardware items requires installing more RAM or a faster processor.

Mac Users

  • Click on the apple icon at the top left of the screen
  • Choose Apple System Profiles
  • Expand Memory Overview: Built-in Memory displays your RAM
  • Expand Hardware Overview: Machine speed displays your processor speed

    Upgrading these hardware items requires installing more RAM or a faster processor.
